New, Dutch Ocean Fresheeeeee

Fishy Tale.......

Oh such a wondrous tale to tell

Of monster fish From the gates of hell

‘Twas a perfect summers night

The quarter moon

wind fresh and light

Gazing on my carp rods two

Concocting our evening stew

My bro in a swim quite near

On a small lake, In Bedfordshire

The night wore on in its silky suit

Save for eerie barn owl hoot

Little waves lapping the shore

And from beyond a rhythmic snore

My buzzers, til now just a rest

Plink plink, now here’s a test

Adrenalin kicks in n starts to flow

L E D’s bright green glow

Silence, a liner no doubt

Nothing to shout about

Plink plink again, you’re ‘avin me on

Take it , take it, the muffled sigh

Resignedness another net dry

Plink plink, plink, do I wait for a run

What is this bally son of a gun

Plink plink, getting on my bristols

Once more n it’ll be dawn and pistols

Plink, plink, I’m gonna strike

Gotta be something, but not a pike

Smooth arch back, the rod engages

A carp for sure, I’ll bet my wages

Battle ensues, rod giving its all

Bank eroding I might fall

And he’ll break loose

Theres no excuse

I’m in, I’m in, my plaintive cry

My bro silhouetted against the sky

What you got he asks in vain

some monster, it’s gone insane

I gain some, lose some more

I don’t care nor keeping score

fifteen minutes and then some

He may be big, but he aint dumb

Your snagged says bro,

Let me have a go

I Hand over, but soon ---PING !!!!!!

Oh poop- he’s lost the bloody thing

We mull over the events just past

Nothing for it, another cast

Misty day breaks, without event

time for tea in the tent

The day clears, my mind still dismay

The huge great fish that got away

Then I let out a laugh so sublime

This story will stand the test of time

Two thirds and high across the lake

A cable stretched, and I could just make

My line-cast over the top

To the other side -- to drop

This lifetime best, this record stunner

This bully that beat, My bait runner

Was nothing more than a dream

For this cat there was no cream

Plink plink as the wind did blow

On my buzzers--- it would show

My epic battle - give n take

THE CABLE STRETCHING CROSS THE LAKE

This tale I must now confess

Not quite as good, as,

Loch Ness
