New, Dutch Ocean Fresheeeeee

Fieldtesting Tutti Megafish.

I went fishing to one of my favourite Maldon .A.S waters on Saturday 14th march 09. I arrived at the lake at 8.30am I walk round to one of my favourite spot where I know the fish are right against the snag. So I had to fish with tight drag. I fished with a size 6 korda long shank and korda IQ hook link of 15lb, a korda quick release set up with a 2oz lead and a korda leader gravel colour.

I fished with a double tutti mega fish 15mm boilie tight as I could to the bushes and flicked out 3 to 4 boilies around my spot. 3 hours later I received a bleep on the right hand rod and five minutes later the rod screamed off. I picked the rod up within seconds it was in the snags and off. Five minutes later the rod was out and off again, sadly after a five minute fight and just as I was about to net it the hook pulled arrr! They were certainly having the bait, I just couldn’t land them.

So I recast the rod back out and in 15 minutes it was off again! I got a single bleep on the same rod, this time I stood right next to it and within seconds it went screaming off. I striked and this time I was not going to let it come off it took just ten minutes to carefully play it into the net. When I got it on the mat the hook was smack bang in the bottom lip, on the scales it went 16lb 14oz it was a lovely linear andf my biggest carp this year. Shame about the two lost fish, no more bites came and I packed up and went home. I had a very good day, here are the pictures.
